THE FUTURE TO HIGH-ROAD INDUSTRIAL ECOSYSTEMS

WHO WE ARE
Who We Are

We are a Pan-African Smart Global Fashion Value Chain Incubator and Accelerator Ecosystem. Our goal is to empower Africa's youth and women of all races, as well as underprivileged mining and agricultural communities, by providing them with industrial education and innovative brand development opportunities. We aim to help them create impact-led companies that contribute to a brighter and more prosperous High-Road Future Industrial GFVC AFRICA Economy.

Our headquarters are in Johannesburg, and we operate under the guidance of the GFVC AFRICA Commission. Our reach extends throughout the continent, as the Commission plans to establish eight regional economic cluster offices and ours throughout Africa by 2025 post our inaugural 2024 SMART GFVC AFRICA SUMMIT. This will ensure coordinated development efforts in the ecosystems through long-term partnerships that can sustain growth and impact at the national and municipal levels.

Our incubation and acceleration ecosystem models have been tested and proven to surpass the Commission's projections for manufacturing output, startups, and job creation. We connect innovative brands and impact-led start-ups and provide ongoing internal support to those who exit the program. This includes monitoring their brand progress, global market access, business intelligence, and funding for expansion.

SMART GFVC AFRICA reports to the Commission of GFVC AFRICA, and we are committed to empowering Africa's future.

Our Role

The Pan-African Smart Global Fashion Value Chain Ecosystem is a long-term implementing partner of the GFVC AFRICA COMMISSION'S SDG Programme.

It was strategically established in 2017 and formerly registered in 2019 as a response to the Mandate and Goals of the Commission to help fast-track the much-needed Pan-African actions to promote a productive and job-rich recovery, as well as just ecological, technological and societal transitions to more sustainable and inclusive economies through its focused fashion value chain development for Africa.
