ABOUT THE GFVC AFRICA COMMISSION
OVERVIEW
The Commission is an uncompromisingly politically independent institution of the Federal Global Fashion Value Chain of Africa and its constituent entities, which make up the organization's executive arm.
The primary objectives through which the GFVC AFRICA ecosystem was established in 2016 are to address the underdevelopment of Africa and its lack of independent, robust development institutions and governance. These challenges have disproportionately affected various sectors, such as agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and creative industries, leading to economic struggles and marginalized communities. our mission is to enhance the capacities of AUDA-NEPAD and AfCFTA, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals to build a highly competitive, inclusive and decolonized GFVC AFRICA ECONOMY. This economy will strive for balanced growth, price stability, social progress, environmental protection and financial freedom for all Africans, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
OUR VISION
To build a High-Road Industrial Future Economy that unites, transforms, respects its ecological limits and achieves a high quality of life and well-being for Africans.
OUR MISSION
To be a catalyst for sustainable development and economic growth in Africa, by adding value and contributing to the creation of a single, prosperous GFVC economy that benefits all citizens. Guided by our values, principles, and global sustainable development goals, we collaborate with the GFVC Regional Council (Regional Government Ministries, Agencies Representatives and their Academia and Research Institutions, Traditional Leaders, Development Partners and Donor Agencies), GFVC Regional Commissioners, SMART GFVC AFRICA and the Private Sector to achieve our vision of a thriving and inclusive Africa.
Our values are rooted in the aspirations and principles of the Federal Global Fashion Value Chain of Africa, aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union's Continental Free Trade Agreement objectives. These values guide our daily actions, inform our decisions, and shape our behaviors, ensuring we work together with all Pan-African communities to achieve our mandate and create a prosperous and sustainable future for all.
