ABOUT THE GFVC AFRICA COMMISSION

OVERVIEW

The Commission is an independent political institution of the Global Fashion Value Chain Federation of Africa and its constituent entities, which make up the organization's executive arm.

The primary purpose of establishing the entire ecosystem is to address the underdevelopment of Africa and its lack of independent, robust development institutions and governance. These issues have led to challenges faced by the economy and left-behind communities in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and creative industries. By enhancing NEPAD and AfCFTA's capacities to improve the impact on aligned Sustainable Development Goals, the aim is to decolonize, protect, and build a highly competitive single GFVC economy that can achieve balanced economic growth, price stability, social progress, environmental protection, and financial freedom for all Africans across the socioeconomic strata.

OUR VISION

To build a High-Road Industrial Future Economy that unites, transforms, respects its ecological limits and achieves a high quality of life and well-being for Africans.
